In today's climate there are many people who are unemployed due to redundancies, likewise there are many organisations who have had to make those redundancis who are also suffering from the cut backs - with a little bit of guidance and funding such as ReAct and Skills Growth it could allow individuals and organisations to get back on the right track.

 

ReAct

ReAct (Redundancy Action Scheme)

ReAct is funding for training provided by the Welsh Assembly Government.

Who is it available to?

It is available to those who:

- have become unemployed in the last six months as a result of redundancy or are currently unemplyed.

- are currently under notice of redundancy.

ReAct can provide you with up to £1,500 towards the cost of your training courses. The support it available for eligible applicants to increase their skills and remove barriers to learning, or returning to work.

All applicants need to have their training needs assessed by Careers Wales, where they will advise on suitable courses and training providers.

GoWales

GoWales Graduate Training and Development

GoWales Graduate Training and Development Fund (GTD) is a scheme funded by Welsh Assembly Goverment and European Social Fund which helps smaller businesses in Wales with the cost of training their graduate-level staff.

Up to £1,500 is available per graduate and £7,500 per company which is given as a grant of up to 50% of the cost of training.

You can choose the training you require in order to help your business grow, allowing you to choose a training provider of your choice and which staff you wish to participate in the training.

GoWales can only support applications from private of third sector SMEs based in Wales.

Skills Growth Wales

Skills Growth Wales is a scheme supported by the European Social Fund.

Skills Growth Wales is a selective scheme designed to help those companies who will have an impact on helping to revitalise the economic market.

Skills Growth Wales funding  supports eligible businesses in Wales who are in a position of growth and who can demonstrate a specific growth opportunity which could be achieved through training. Support under this scheme is up to £3,000 per individual.
